Knee surgery

I'm in hospital following surgery to remove torn cartilige. I opted for a spinal injection instead of a general anaestetic. I watched the op on the screen and talked to the surgeon. Some cartilige was cut out but also a repair was made to another area the surgeon was unhappy with. As a result i can't run for 6 to 8 weeks. I have to stay in as the anaestetic failed to wear off. I'm still mostly numb 7 hours later. I've had a catheta fitted as i have no feeling, couldn't pee and was in pain. I filled a full litre in 10 mins! Too much information? Probably. I should be released tomorrow. Thanks for all the well wishes on facebook everyone!

  1. Hi Rich, hope you're recovering well after your operation, it will be worth it!

Hope you're feeling better in yourself as well, as rest from running will probably do you good, when you start training again you will soon build your fitness back up. Keep us updated!
